Wake up, Grow up, and Stand up

Editor's Note: Whatever faith you subscribe to, ancient texts of all faith have within them, the earliest gems of human wisdom mankind has to offer. Whether, you believe or not, wisdom is wisdom and should always be considered as should all other gems life has to offer.- NewAmericaNow

WAKE UP

- Those who are asleep to the events transpiring around us are not physically, emotionally, or spiritually prepared for what is coming.

I know you are busy. The 9 to 5 grind is tough. Staying married is tough. Raising kids is tough. Making a living in this economy is tough. Sometimes life gets tough and sometimes bad stuff happens.  When it does we have to deal with it. Now is one of the times. If you keep waiting for a moment of clarity before you shift gears and take appropriate action, it is going to be too late to take meaningful actions that you can feel good about. Let this post be your moment of clarity.

- Your purchasing power is declining even if you have managed to keep a job and to get raises, and the pace is accelerating.

The currency you earn, get paid with, spend with, and save with is changing dramatically. If you keep focusing solely on your job, your mortgage or rent, protecting your retirement nest egg, and/or hanging in their until your pension or social security kicks in, then one day soon you are going to be standing in line hoping for hand-outs.

- Tyranny is at our doorstep.

For once, Conservatives, Liberals, and even Libertarians agree that the Federal Government is out of control and is spying on its own citizens on an unprecedented scale. The level of corruption and manipulation in DC has reached ridiculous levels where they have stopped even pretending to be honest and are openly demonizing those who tell the truth about their illegal actions. The truth of the matter is that our banking system and our current government are headed for collapse.  The levers of power (media, military, money printing) are in the hands of wicked people who have sought them out and who are intent on abusing that power. The bankers admit that their goal is to implement a new world order with a global currency and a global transaction tax.  The military industrial complex is now running the government of the US and has the power to identify, incarcerate, and kill anyone who they think is a meaningful threat to their plans.

Violent transformation of our society is what they have planned for our immediate future.

They are buying ammo in massive quantities to use against us. They are conditioning our police to shoot pregnant mothers who refuse to be disarmed. They are militarizing our local police with tanks and preparing them for a currency collapse type event (that either they know is coming or are orchestrating themselves in order to facilitate the radical transformation of our society that they are seeking). Don’t waste any more time denying it. You know its true. And if you aren’t sure its true, then take a day off and research it yourself so you can deal with your doubt and move on. It’s time to wake up.

GROW UP

People have various ways of dealing with information that is unwelcome. Some will simply discard the information and get back to the 9 to 5 grind because that is what they know, it’s familiar. Others will throw labels up as a defense so they don’t have to honestly evaluate information: conspiracy theorist, anti-government domestic terrorist rant, tinfoil hat wearing adolescent sitting in his underwear in his momma’s basement, etc.. But most, MOST people will simply cling to platitudes wrapped in terminology of faith as if their words will shield them from undesirable information and outcomes.

Platitudes as reality and conflict avoidance

Just have faith, keep on keeping on, focus on the good, I will not get distracted from the gospel, I will not give in to fear, etc…

History is full of examples of well intentioned people that relied on these tactics in the face of overwhelming evidence that the enemy was at the gates. The result? Their conflict avoidance techniques failed miserably. All eventually had to choose sides. Some traded in their morals for favored treatment. They became informants or went to work for the government that was doing horrible things to their neighbors. By choosing to focus on their paycheck while the crisis was developing they had set their priority, paycheck first.

When the moment of truth arrived, they were consistent with their prior choice: paycheck above truth and above moral duty.   Others, in a moment of clarity, chose the moral path and accepted the adverse consequences becoming victims or refugees in the conflict. Many died in internment camps or during their exodus. Some made it to new lands where they slowly built a new life, but they no longer hid their fears behind platitudes. They became the ever watchful seeking to avoid a repeat performance of being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
“The prudent see danger and take refuge, the foolish keep going and suffer for it.” Prov 22:3
Balanced View of Faith and Works

You believe that God provides, yet you work. You believe that God protects, yet you probably lock your doors. Prudent actions do not imply a lack of faith. On the contrary, acting prudently is merely an expression of faithfulness. Some forces in our modern culture are trying to redefine Christianity. Groups like the hyper-grace movement say that lifestyle, actions, and choices don’t matter. Only our faith, our beliefs, and attitudes matter. They have a right to believe what they want, but they shouldn’t call it Christianity and they shouldn’t expect to be immune from the consequences of their lifestyle choices. We are called to believe in Jesus AND to follow Him. The great commission explicitly includes “teaching them to obey everything I have commended you.” (Matt 28:20).

Instead of feebly clinging to words that we think will shield us from life’s circumstances and the consequences of our choices, we should grow up and embrace a biblical worldview that includes responsibility. Faith matters. Choices matter. Consequences happen.

Your family is your responsibility

Its quite possible that when trouble hits, no one will be coming to help you. If you see danger, you should take refuge.
1 Tim 5:8 says  ”Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.”

That’s a grow up kind of statement. Is your ability to provide for your relatives dependent on other people and supply lines beyond your control? Are those people and supply lines dependable?  What would happen to your supply lines in a currency collapse or after a prolonged electrical outage (which could be caused by EMP, solar flare, or terrorist attack)? What would happen if your area began to persecute Christians and decided not to employ Christians or sell them food or energy?

1 Thes 4:11 -12 ”Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life: You should mind your own business and work with your hands, just as we told you, 12 so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody.”

Pauls’ advice (to the persecuted church where the supply lines might get cut) was to not be dependent.  If you have a back yard and a suitable climate then grow some food staples that can sustain you. If you don’t have the ability to do that where you live (and you want to avoid being worse than an unbeliever) then you might want to consider moving. I know it sounds harsh but that’s only because common sense has been replaced by our conditioned acceptance of completely unnatural conditions. We think that certain verses don’t apply to us because we live in a city or because our fancy (and fragile) economy has an advanced division of labor. Society’s cultural drift (moral, economic, and agricultural) does nothing to nullify the counsel of the world of God. It remains unwise to remain uninvolved with making our own food.

Consider King Solomon who at the time was the richest man that had ever lived, counseled his son to stay hands-on involved in food production because sometimes stuff happens. Stuff like currency collapse and violent political upheaval.
Proverbs 27: 23 Be sure you know the condition of your flocks, give careful attention to your herds; 24 for riches do not endure forever, and a crown is not secure for all generations.
“Because someone told me to” is (still) not a valid reason to do something

When we were kids, we all at one time or another, heard our parents go on and on about the inanity of our defense that was based on because someone told me to. Our parents were right and we knew it. They taught us that we alone have the power to judge whether an instruction is right and to be followed. Then we grew up and decided that we could outsource all serious decisions to the government. The result is that our tax dollars are being used for things we would never want to fund like forced sterilization of the women of other nations and the deposing of democratically elected governments around the world.  Our precious children are playing parts in video game type wars where they kill the precious children of other parents using remote controlled drones. And we say, thank you for your service to our country.

No, this is not an easy conversation. I understand that. No one wants to be a monster that kills children, except abortion doctors I guess. I wonder how they justify their actions? Probably something like, well the mother told me to do it…

Christians sometimes wrap their moral cowardice in spiritual language about submitting to governing authorities, being subject to every human institution, etc.

I don’t deny that there are verses that say we should submit to governing authorities and to institutions of men. But the bible doesn’t make those “above all else” statements.

The bible doesn’t say:
-  ”Submit to the government for this is the sum of the law and the prophets.”
-  ”Submission to government is the fulfillment of the law.”
But the bible does say:
-  ”So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.” Matt 7:12

-  “Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.” Romans 13:10
These are clearly above all else kind of statements. It is implied that when you have to choose between obeying your government and loving your neighbor, you are supposed to choose to love your neighbor.
The apostles clearly understood this “secret” teaching as they demonstrated by their interaction with governing authorities.

- “But Peter and John answered them, Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you rather than to God, you must judge” Acts 4:19

- “Peter and the other apostles replied: “We must obey God rather than human beings!” Acts 5:29
Growing up requires us to take back our moral discernment and to courageously take a fresh look at subjects that may reveal our own guilty of complicity in the willful sins of others.
“The establishment will tell the people that the principles they used to  hold so dear are actually weaknesses that make them vulnerable to the  enemy. In order to defeat an enemy so monstrous, they claim, we must  become monstrous ourselves. We must be willing to do ANYTHING, no matter  how vile or contrary to natural law, in order to win.Honesty must be replaced with deceit. Dissent must be replaced with  silence. Peace must be replaced with violence. The independent should be  treated with suspicion. The outspoken treated with contempt. Women and  children are no longer people to be protected, but targets to be  eliminated. The innocent dead become collateral damage. The innocent  living become informants to be tortured and exploited. Good men are  labeled cowards because they refuse to “do what needs to be done,” while  evil men are labeled heroes for having the “strength of will” to  abandon their conscience. Thus, the criminal leadership makes once honorable citizens  accomplices in the crime.”

Doing the stuff that matters
As people awaken they seek ways to impact the big picture. We have had tea parties, letter writing campaigns, marches on DC, get out the vote campaigns and the government yawned at us.
When a man built a successful barter network that was facilitated by silver bullion, the government sprang into action and he is now in jail.

When Louisiana began to develop a local economy based on the sale of second hand goods, cash transactions for second hand goods were made illegal.

When stand your ground laws were passed in local communities, a nationwide presstitute orgy and federal inquiry thrust a single useful case into the national spotlight for months.

When social media became a tool for awakening one’s neighbors, the NSA scandal was leaked so as to intimidate people from awakening their neighbors.

When amish communities began to experience record growth, funding was swiftly allocated for reality shows bashing the amish like “breaking amish” and “amish mafia”

When savvy consumers began to choose health giving raw milk over sterilized mass produced hormone injected milk, the regulators worked overtime to shut down the raw milk dairies.

When direct to consumer local organic farms began serving food to their local communities, the feds were called in.

The nefarious elite appear to fear and loath back to the farm movements, states rights and local communities that stand in solidarity against federal out of control policies, house churches, home canning (pressure cookers), foragers, libertarians, those who oppose the new world order, and yes Christians who believe the biblical account of the end times narrative.

Part of growing up is shifting from time wasting activities to productive ones. If the corrupt and evil bent government doesn’t consider it worth opposing, then it probably isn’t worth doing. That which they oppose, they apparently fear. How nice of them to help us identify which tactics are worthwhile.

STAND UP
We all long for a battle to fight. So the power brokers give us football and dancing with the stars. We all want to feel like we are helping get the country back on the right track, so they let us vote for candidates they pick.

Don’t lend your credibility to hand picked stooges that can’t wait to break their electoral promises to you.
Don’t stand up for Chris Christie who just signed gun control legislation.

Don’t stand up for Rand Paul who turned his back on his dad during the campaign and who wants to balance the budget by never.

Don’t stand up for Marco Rubio who wants to legalize illegal immigrants before the democrats do.
Don’t stand up for Jeb Bush who is the son of a son of an admitted new world order stooge.

Stand up for principles and for truth. Stand up for your neighbors and with your community. To do so you will have to truly love your neighbor as yourself and that will mean re-evaluating your assumptions on some touchy topics.

Do you want the government kicking in your door to see what supplies you have on hand? No? Then don’t support militarization of police even when conducted under the guise of being tough on drugs.  Stand up with your neighbors right to privacy and due process. If your drug dealing neighbor doesn’t have rights to privacy and due process, then neither do you.

Do you want the government telling you which seeds and breeds you are allowed to use in your garden? No? Then don’t support the criminalization of what God put on the Earth. Stand up for marijuana legalization (nope, I don’t use it, never have) and for heritage breed farmers. If your neighbor can’t grow whatever plants he wants for his own use, then neither can you.

Do you want the government telling you what gun you can have and how you must store it? No? Then don’t support gun registration or limits for the mentally labeled. If those the government considers mentally unstable don’t have a right to self defense, then neither do you.

Do you want the government taking your kids out of your custody because you refuse to vaccinate them or to tell them that homosexuality is ok? No? Then don’t support the UN rights of the child and don’t support the various child taking agencies in your area. Instead, stand with the parents and affirm their rights to raise their kids as they see fit. If others  don’t have a right to educate and make healthy decisions for their kids, then neither do you.
I can draw no other conclusion than Obamacare is state sponsored child slavery. Under Obamacare, virtually every aspect of parenting is criminalized. Any child can be considered to have a disability for which the state is the only legitimate treatment source.  Dave Hodges, The Common Sense Show
Loving your neighbor as yourself requires taking a stand beside your neighbor, even neighbors you disagree with. Would you want someone to stand with you?
Having done all, stand firm then.

Will Americans become complicit in the crimes of their government?
Its time to wake up to the reality going on around us. Its time to grow up and shed childish assumptions about why bad stuff won’t happen to us or how someone from the government is coming to save us. Its time to stand up, with alliances formerly thought odd, for what is right, for inalienable rights, which is really just another way of saying, for the golden rule.
