Election Day 2010 and Thoughts of America's Future
Election day is right around the corner. So what can we expect? Well, we can probably expect that Republicans will be elected in droves. Many who voted for Obama and the Democrats in hopes for change, got change, but not exactly what they had hoped for. Many disillusioned voters I have spoken with just hope to slow down the damage any one party can effect by causing gridlock in Washington. It is very sad to think that is all we can hope for.
So does any one party have the answers? Do the Republicans have an answer to what is ailing America? If the previous Bush administration is any indication, the answer is a resounding "NO".
What about the TEA party candidates? What a damn shame! It seems that the "infiltration" of a truly grassroots movement for smaller and more constitutional government is complete with all the usual Republican party leadership faces taking it over, also a big "NO" simply because we cannot expect a difference if the players remain the same. Sarah Palin was the Republican party choice for Vice President, as scary as that seems.
Let me get this straight... the Democrats, who brought us out of control spending, increased debt, more power to the unconstitutional and illegal Federal Reserve, major legislation without reading it ("you'll have to pass it to find out what's in it" - Nancy Pelosi).... and the Republicans who gave us major lies in order to get us into illegal and immoral wars, who pushed the Patriot Act that brought us the "Police State" we have today, and allowed Corporate and Banking interests to superced the interests of the public...are the only two visible choices we have on this, our Election Day?!!!What a travesty of American freedom and justice.
Both our political parties... have bailed out banks and corporations, allowed the Corporations and Banks to write the legislation and in so doing, destroy the competition but give themselves all the legal advantage, legally privitized gains and socialized losses on a massive scale and continue to provide the American people and small to Medium sized Businesses with more and more regulation and less and less options, in a once free and vibrant society of choices. Who the hell are we kidding here!! The same players will inevitably always bring the same results. Things will not change until we damand forcefully that they change.
My fellow Americans, the biggest terrorists in the world are waging a war on us, the American people, and that includes our Men and Women in Uniform that proudly serve and risk their lives every day for a pack of lies and the false wave of a flag. The Flag means nothing without honor, principal and honesty.
We, the American people, were told in 2008 that there was an "electronic run on the banks" and the sky would fall if we did nothing. How can you expect truth when all you get are lies?
I'm sure that the Federal Reserve knew who it was that was drawing billions from the banks, but who was responsible? the Russians? the Chinese? Al Qaeda? the Taliban? the Boogie Man? or maybe the Federal Reserve itself.
Our corrupt leaders used this so called "Crisis" to siphon hundreds of Billions if not Trillions of taxpayer $$dollars$$ through both the Republican and Democratic administrations. Why would the American people expect these corrupt parties to fix anything at all??
Whichever party wins the election, they will try to implement the final "Austerity" nail in the American Coffin. They will continue to call for the bailout of Banks and Corportions, although, assistance to the American people will come to a sudden end. Unemployment, food stamps, Social Security, healthcare and social services will all be cut drastically. Unemployment will skyrocket, as will Inflation, taxes will increase at every level of government and Austerity will begin in earnest. Although the police state will continue to be reinforced in order to keep the disgruntled American in line and because of the removal of Posse Comitatus, martial law is very likely in our future.
The Federal Reserve will say they need more power, they will continue to debase our currency whether we like it or not. The Fed will then announce that a global central bank will be needed or the sky will again fall. A ploy of course, constructed to undermine the very sovereignty of the greatest nation and beacon of the light of freedom on the planet.
"I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around [the banks] will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs."
Thomas Jefferson, (Attributed)
3rd president of US (1743 - 1826)
Our only hope lies with the American people. When the going gets tough, will we, as Americans get going. Time will tell. I for one will not send my sons to any war I am not prepared to fight myself.
On this Election Day 2010 do not vote for personalities, slogans, promises or parties, vote for people who you respect and who's actions speak louder than words. Vote for people that will be the best choice for you regardless of whether they have a chance at winning.
I hope and pray that there is a peaceful revolution that brings us a transformed, more responsive and more representative government based on fairness and justice for all, but I also mentally prepare for the day that I may have to make very difficult choices in the defense of, the ideals of American freedom, which I live by, my children that I gaze upon and look to me for guidance and the God that I serve and will hold me accountable for my choices in life.
"These are the times that try men’s souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their county; but he that stands it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman. Tyranny like hell is not easily conquered yet we have this consolation with us, the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly; it is dearness only that gives everything its value. If there must be trouble, let it be in my day, that my child may have peace."
-- Tom Paine, 1776
Oathkeepers: Declaration Of Orders We Will Not Obey
Orders We Will Not Obey
“The time is now near at hand which must probably determine, whether Americans are to be, Freemen, or Slaves; whether they are to have any property they can call their own; whether their Houses, and Farms, are to be pillaged and destroyed, and they consigned to a State of Wretchedness from which no human efforts will probably deliver them. The fate of unborn Millions will now depend, under God, on the Courage and Conduct of this army” -- Gen. George Washington, to his troops before the battle of Long Island
Such a time is near at hand again. The fate of unborn millions will now depend, under God, on the Courage and Conduct of this Army -- and this Marine Corps, This Air Force, This Navy and the National Guard and police units of these sovereign states.
Oath Keepers is a non-partisan association of currently serving military, reserves, National Guard, peace officers, fire-fighters, and veterans who swore an oath to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic … and meant it. We won’t “just follow orders.”
Below is our declaration of orders we will NOT obey because we will consider them unconstitutional (and thus unlawful) and immoral violations of the natural rights of the people. Such orders would be acts of war against the American people by their own government, and thus acts of treason. We will not make war against our own people. We will not commit treason. We will defend the Republic.
Declaration of Orders We Will NOT Obey
Recognizing that we each swore an oath to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic, and affirming that we are guardians of the Republic, of the principles in our Declaration of Independence, and of the rights of our people, we affirm and declare the following:
1. We will NOT obey any order to disarm the American people.
The attempt to disarm the people on April 19, 1775 was the spark of open conflict in the American Revolution. That vile attempt was an act of war, and the American people fought back in justified, righteous self-defense of their natural rights. Any such order today would also be an act of war against the American people, and thus an act of treason. We will not make war on our own people, and we will not commit treason by obeying any such treasonous order.
Nor will we assist, or support any such attempt to disarm the people by other government entities, either state or federal.
In addition, we affirm that the purpose of the Second Amendment is to preserve the military power of the people so that they will, in the last resort, have effective final recourse to arms and to the God of Hosts in the face of tyranny. Accordingly, we oppose any and all further infringements on the right of the people to keep and bear arms. In particular we oppose a renewal of the misnamed “assault-weapons” ban or the enactment of H.R. 45 (which would register and track gun owners like convicted pedophiles).
2. We will NOT obey any order to conduct warrantless searches of the American people, their homes, vehicles, papers, or effects -- such as warrantless house-to house searches for weapons or persons.
One of the causes of the American Revolution was the use of “writs of assistance,” which were essentially warrantless searches because there was no requirement of a showing of probable cause to a judge, and the first fiery embers of American resistance were born in opposition to those infamous writs. The Founders considered all warrantless searches to be unreasonable and egregious. It was to prevent a repeat of such violations of the right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects that the Fourth Amendment was written.
We expect that sweeping warrantless searches of homes and vehicles, under some pretext, will be the means used to attempt to disarm the people.
3. We will NOT obey any order to detain American citizens as “unlawful enemy combatants” or to subject them to trial by military tribunal.
One of the causes of the American Revolution was the denial of the right to jury trial, the use of admiralty courts (military tribunals) instead, and the application of the laws of war to the colonists. After that experience, and being well aware of the infamous Star Chamber in English history, the Founders ensured that the international laws of war would apply only to foreign enemies, not to the American people. Thus, the Article III Treason Clause establishes the only constitutional form of trial for an American, not serving in the military, who is accused of making war on his own nation. Such a trial for treason must be before a civilian jury, not a tribunal.
The international laws of war do not trump our Bill of Rights. We reject as illegitimate any such claimed power, as did the Supreme Court in Ex Parte Milligan (1865). Any attempt to apply the laws of war to American civilians, under any pretext, such as against domestic “militia” groups the government brands “domestic terrorists,” is an act of war and an act of treason.
4. We will NOT obey orders to impose martial law or a “state of emergency” on a state, or to enter with force into a state, without the express consent and invitation of that state’s legislature and governor.
One of the causes of the American Revolution was the attempt “to render the Military independent of and superior to the Civil Power” by disbanding the Massachusetts legislature and appointing General Gage as “military governor.” The attempt to disarm the people of Massachusetts during that martial law sparked our Revolution. Accordingly, the power to impose martial law – the absolute rule over the people by a military officer with his will alone being law – is nowhere enumerated in our Constitution.
Further, it is the militia of a state and of the several states that the Constitution contemplates being used in any context, during any emergency within a state, not the standing army.
The imposition of martial law by the national government over a state and its people, treating them as an occupied enemy nation, is an act of war. Such an attempted suspension of the Constitution and Bill of Rights voids the compact with the states and with the people.
5. We will NOT obey orders to invade and subjugate any state that asserts its sovereignty and declares the national government to be in violation of the compact by which that state entered the Union.
In response to the obscene growth of federal power and to the absurdly totalitarian claimed powers of the Executive, upwards of 20 states are considering, have considered, or have passed courageous resolutions affirming states rights and sovereignty.
Those resolutions follow in the honored and revered footsteps of Jefferson and Madison in their Kentucky and Virginia Resolutions, and likewise seek to enforce the Constitution by affirming the very same principles of our Declaration, Constitution, and Bill of Rights that we Oath Keepers recognize and affirm.
Chief among those principles is that ours is a dual sovereignty system, with the people of each state retaining all powers not granted to the national government they created, and thus the people of each state reserved to themselves the right to judge when the national government they created has voided the compact between the states by asserting powers never granted.
Upon the declaration by a state that such a breach has occurred, we will not obey orders to force that state to submit to the national government.
6. We will NOT obey any order to blockade American cities, thus turning them into giant concentration camps.
One of the causes of the American Revolution was the blockade of Boston, and the occupying of that city by the British military, under martial law. Once hostilities began, the people of Boston were tricked into turning in their arms in exchange for safe passage, but were then forbidden to leave. That confinement of the residents of an entire city was an act of war.
Such tactics were repeated by the Nazis in the Warsaw Ghetto, and by the Imperial Japanese in Nanking, turning entire cities into death camps. Any such order to disarm and confine the people of an American city will be an act of war and thus an act of treason.
7. We will NOT obey any order to force American citizens into any form of detention camps under any pretext.
Mass, forced internment into concentration camps was a hallmark of every fascist and communist dictatorship in the 20th Century. Such internment was unfortunately even used against American citizens of Japanese descent during World War II. Whenever a government interns its own people, it treats them like an occupied enemy population. Oppressive governments often use the internment of women and children to break the will of the men fighting for their liberty – as was done to the Boers, to the Jewish resisters in the Warsaw Ghetto, and to the Chechens, for example.
Such a vile order to forcibly intern Americans without charges or trial would be an act of war against the American people, and thus an act of treason, regardless of the pretext used. We will not commit treason, nor will we facilitate or support it.”NOT on Our Watch!”
8. We will NOT obey orders to assist or support the use of any foreign troops on U.S. soil against the American people to “keep the peace” or to “maintain control” during any emergency, or under any other pretext. We will consider such use of foreign troops against our people to be an invasion and an act of war.
During the American Revolution, the British government enlisted the aid of Hessian mercenaries in an attempt to subjugate the rebellious American people. Throughout history, repressive regimes have enlisted the aid of foreign troops and mercenaries who have no bonds with the people.
Accordingly, as the militia of the several states are the only military force contemplated by the Constitution, in Article I, Section 8, for domestic keeping of the peace, and as the use of even our own standing army for such purposes is without such constitutional support, the use of foreign troops and mercenaries against the people is wildly unconstitutional, egregious, and an act of war.
We will oppose such troops as enemies of the people and we will treat all who request, invite, and aid those foreign troops as the traitors they are.
9. We will NOT obey any orders to confiscate the property of the American people, including food and other essential supplies, under any emergency pretext whatsoever.
One of the causes of the American Revolution was the seizure and forfeiture of American ships, goods, and supplies, along with the seizure of American timber for the Royal Navy, all in violation of the people’s natural right to their property and to the fruits of their labor. The final spark of the Revolution was the attempt by the government to seize powder and cannon stores at Concord.
Deprivation of food has long been a weapon of war and oppression, with millions intentionally starved to death by fascist and communist governments in the 20th Century alone.
Accordingly, we will not obey or facilitate orders to confiscate food and other essential supplies from the people, and we will consider all those who issue or carry out such orders to be the enemies of the people.
10. We will NOT obey any orders which infringe on the right of the people to free speech, to peaceably assemble, and to petition their government for a redress of grievances.
There would have been no American Revolution without fiery speakers and writers such as James Otis, Patrick Henry, Thomas Paine, and Sam Adams “setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men.”
Patrick Henry: “Give me Liberty, or Give me DEATH!”
Tyrants know that the pen of a man such as Thomas Paine can cause them more damage than entire armies, and thus they always seek to suppress the natural rights of speech, association, and assembly. Without freedom of speech, the people will have no recourse but to arms. Without freedom of speech and conscience, there is no freedom.
Therefore, we will not obey or support any orders to suppress or violate the right of the people to speak, associate, worship, assemble, communicate, or petition government for the redress of grievances.
— And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually affirm our oath and pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor. Oath Keepers
The above list is not exhaustive but we do consider them to be clear tripwires – they form our “line in the sand,” and if we receive such orders, we will not obey them. Further, we will know that the time for another American Revolution is nigh. If you the people decide that you have no recourse, and such a revolution comes, at that time, not only will we NOT fire upon our fellow Americans who righteously resist such egregious violations of their God given rights, we will join them in fighting against those who dare attempt to enslave them.

More About Oath Keepers
Oath Keepers is a non partisan association of currently serving military, peace officers, fire-fighters, and veterans who will fulfill our oath to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic, so help us God.
Our oath is to the Constitution, not to the politicians, and not to any political party. In the long-standing tradition of the U.S. military, we are apolitical. We don’t care if unlawful orders come from a Democrat or a Republican, or if the violation is bi-partisan. We will not obey unconstitutional (and thus unlawful) and immoral orders, such as orders to disarm the American people or to place them under martial law. We won’t “just follow orders.” Our motto: “Not on Our Watch!” or to put it even more succinctly, in the words of 101st Airborne Commander General Anthony McAuliffe at the Battle of the Bulge, “NUTS!”
There is at this time a debate within the ranks of the military regarding their oath. Some mistakenly believe they must follow any order the President issues. But many others do understand that their loyalty is to the Constitution and to the people, and understand what that means.
The mission of Oath Keepers is to vastly increase their numbers.
We are in a battle for the hearts and minds of our own troops.
Help us win it.
Coast Guard Implementing Martial Law
Earlier this month, the United States Coast Guard upheld its self-declared status as a 'special' branch of the military with the ability to prosecute civilians in military tribunals. This startling declaration, unreported in the media, came in a Decision on Appeal related to the case of Lieutenant Eric Shine, a commissioned Naval officer in the Merchant Marines and a graduate of Kings Point Military Service Academy, and was penned by the Vice Commandant of the Coast Guard. The decision can be downloaded and read here.
The Coast Guard began proceedings to strip Lieutenant Shine of his merchant mariner license in March, 2003, supposedly as the result of incidents related to his service on two private vessels in 2001. In actuality, as Lieutenant Shine points out, the charges were brought in retaliation for attempting to blow the whistle on illegal dumping and other practices he had been asked to engage in during his employment. The Coast Guard's case against him rested on two hostile witnesses (who had previously been named by Shine in his whistleblower litigation) and the Chief of the Coast Guard Medical Evaluations Office, an officer in the Coast Guard who had never examined Shine but was willing to testify to his medical incompetence.
Download an interview with Eric Shine about his case, the Coast Guard and the open implementation of martial law here
The precedent-setting nature of Lieutenant Shine's case with the Coast Guard prosecuting him as an alleged civilian in an Article 32 military tribunal is disturbing enough. But when this case is set in the history and context of the Coast Guard and its repeated attempts at "crossing the Rubicon," an even more disturbing picture emerges.
In 49 B.C., Julius Caesar led the Roman Legion across the Rubicon and into Rome itself, defying the Roman Senate and soon thereafter declaring himself Emperor for life. This was the beginning of the changeover from the Roman Republic to the Roman Empire and the phrase "Crossing the Rubicon" is now used to refer to a move by government toward military dictatorship and the suspension of civil liberties.
Unbeknownst to most Americans, the United States Coast Guard has been attempting to 'cross the Rubicon' for decades, and actually achieved that goal in a silent coup in 2003 when it was moved from the Department of Transportation into the newly-created Department of Homeland Security. This change was not merely bureaucratic; it allows the Coast Guard to now openly declare itself "one of the five armed forces of the United States and the only military organization within the Department of Homeland Security." The problem is that the Coast Guard is now attempting to straddle the line between a civil service agency (as it was set up to be and indeed has always been, except during times when it was specifically placed in the service of the Navy) and a branch of the military, conforming to the Uniform Code of Military Justice.
For those who understand how the United States military has been set up, and the laws and prohibitions against military personnel engaging in the policing of civilians, the fact that the Coast Guard wants to act as a maritime police agency at the same time as it declares itself a branch of the military is a clear indication that the United States is now officially under martial law.
In 1878, Congress passed a law known as Posse Comitatus that prohibited the use of military personnel or assets in domestic law enforcement. At the time, it was clear that the act was an attempt to prohibit the military from policing civilians on U.S. soil, as happened in the South under Reconstruction. What has been taking place in earnest since 9/11, however, is an attempt to erode the spirit and the substance of Posse Comitatus so that the Executive branch can effectively 'cross the rubicon' and use military personnel in domestic policing operations.
As the video below demonstrates, both Democratic and Republican demonstrations have been attempting to overcome Posse Comitatus for decades, and 9/11 was the blank cheque they needed to kick their agenda into high gear:
On October 23, 2001, unconvicted war criminals John Yoo and Robert J. Delahunty wrote to White House counsel Alberto Gonzales giving the legal opinion that "The president has ample constitutional and statutory authority to deploy the military against international or foreign terrorists operating within the United States."
On October 23, 2001, unconvicted war criminals John Yoo and Robert J. Delahunty wrote to White House counsel Alberto Gonzales giving the legal opinion that "The president has ample constitutional and statutory authority to deploy the military against international or foreign terrorists operating within the United States." The Bush Administration then tried to use that very opinion to justify sending American troops into the suburbs of Buffalo to seize a group of men who were claimed to be working with Al Qaeda. The decision was evidently made not to pursue that course of action at that time, but the legal opinion stood and the Administration waited for the opportunity to formalize the legality of deploying troops on home soil.
That opportunity came in 2006, after years of scaremongering over the "War on Terror" (which former Homeland Security chief Tom Ridge later admitted was done to influence voters at politically sensitive times). A section (1076) was slipped into the John Warner Defense Authorization Act that granted the president the authority to deploy troops domestically during "national emergencies." In 2008, Congress attempted to take these powers away from the administration by passing legislation repealing the offending sections of the Act, but President Bush issued a signing statement when signing that legislation into law saying that his administration was not bound by it.
From that point on, the legal floodgates have been open and a stream of increasingly disturbing reports have confirmed that Posse Comitatus had been repealed and that the public is being conditioned to accept uniformed military personnel policing American civilians on the streets of America.
In September 2008, the Army Times reported that the 3rd Infantry Division's Brigade Combat Team had been reassigned to NORTHCOM to patrol the "homeland" in crowd control and civil unrest situations.
In December of 2008, the Marine Corps Air and Ground Combat Support Group dispatched uniformed troops to aid police checkpoints in California.
In September of 2009, the Army and Air Force provided assistance to the National Guard for security at the G20 in Pittsburgh.
Also in September of 2009, the Assistant Secretary of Defense in Obama's Defense Department requested authorization to deploy 379,000 troops inside the U.S.
But this issue is not merely an American one. There is currently a coordinated agenda across the Western world to harmonize these types of rubicon-crossing moves toward outright martial law across borders.
In March 2009, the Canadian militarywhich began a formal merger with the American military in February 2008 that would see American troops deployed on the streets of Canada and Canadian troops in America during 'national emergency'announced that it, too was preparing special reserve units to provide for 'domestic security' during times of civil unrest. The troops are being trained in various crowd control and emergency measures, such as how to set up and maintain internment camps for Canadian citizens in the event of such things as enforced quarantines after a bioterror attack.
Also in March 2009 it was revealed that the British Army was being readied to deal with Brits should rioting break out in the UK.
What all of this case history reveals is that there is a coordinated agenda to knock down any remaining walls separating the general population of America, Canada and the UK from their own militaries. Nowhere is this more apparent than in the way the Coast Guard has quietly shifted from a federal policing agency into a self-declared branch of the military.
As Lieutenant Eric Shine rightfully asks in his own article on the subject, how does the Revenue Cutter Service, originally located in the Department of the Treasury, merge with the Lighthouse Service, the Ice-breaking Service and other civil service agencies to become a branch of military? How does a branch of the military end up in the Department of Homeland Security, whose mission is explicitly to police the "homeland" and its residents? How does this branch of the military get away with filing charges in a military tribunal against an alleged civilian who has never served in their uniform, and then proceed to prosecute, adjudicate and act as appellate of that tribunal?
And perhaps the most important question of all: When will the American public, and the peoples of the other Western powers, realize that the Rubicon has long since been crossed and that they are already living in a military dictatorship?
James Corbett is an independent journalist in Japan whose work can be found at corbettreport.com. Information on Lt. Shine's case can be found at crossingtherubicon.org.

Former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs: Iraq War "Based On a Series of Lies"
In his recently published memoir, "Without Hesitation: The Odyssey of an American Warrior," General Hugh Shelton, who served as the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff from 1997 to 2001, called the Iraq war "unnecessary" and said that the Bush team went to war "based on a series of lies."
Shelton also said that Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, Deputy Secretary of State Paul Wolfowitz and other Pentagon officials pushed for war in Iraq "almost to the point of insubordination."
This is not some voice from the peanut gallery.
The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs is - by law - the highest ranking military officer in the United States armed forces, and the principal military adviser to the President of the United States. The Chairman outranks all respective heads of each service branch, including the heads of the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines.
Thank you, General Shelton, for confirming what Seymour Hersh and many others have been saying since 2003 (and see this).

Economic Collapse Trigger Points And Black Swans
By Giordano Bruno
An avalanche is not an “event”, it is an epic; a series of smaller events drifting and compacting one after another until the contained potential energy reaches an apex, a point at which it can no longer be managed or inhibited. A single tremor, an inopportune echo, an unexpected shift in the winds, and the entire icy edifice, the product of countless layered storms, is sent crashing down the valley like a great and terrible hand. In this way, avalanches in nature are quite similar to avalanches in economies; both events accumulate over the long span of seasons, and finally end in the bewildering flash of a single moment.
The problem that most people have today is being unable to tell the difference between a smaller storm in our economy, and an avalanche. Very few Americans have ever personally witnessed a financial collapse, and so, when confronted with an initiating event, like the stock market plunge of 2008, they have no point of reference with which to compare the experience. They misinterpret the crash as a finale. Untouched, they breathe a sigh of relief, unaware that this is merely the beginning of something much more complex and threatening.
So, without personal experience on our side to help us recognize a trigger point incident; the catalyst that brings down our meticulously constructed house of cards, how will we stand watch? Will we miss the danger parading right in front of our faces? Will we be caught completely off-guard?
The key in avoiding such a scenario is in identifying the primary pillars of our particular financial system, and tracking them carefully. Once we are able to cut through the haze of distractions and minor events promoted mostly by the mainstream media, and focus on that which is truly important, our ability to foresee danger greatly increases. But what are the crucial mainstays of our economy, and what kind of disastrous occurrence could possibly bring them tumbling down?
Mortgage Crisis Redux
The health of property markets is a vital indicator of the stability of almost any country, but most especially in the United States. The reason why the bust in mortgage values is so dangerous to our particular economy is because Americans allowed themselves to become completely dependent on debt in order to sustain their consumption. We have been surviving on mortgage loans and Visa cards for nearly two decades! The fantastical boost in stocks and retail during the late 90’s and early 2000’s was an illusion built on artificially low interest rates and easy credit. Of course, it doesn’t help that corporate interests outsourced most of our industrial foundation to the third world leaving us with an emaciated jobs market utterly reliant on the service sector. Many people were given few options besides taking loan after loan using homes they couldn’t afford in the first place as collateral.
Regardless, without the support of solid industry and innovation in a system to supply employment opportunities and create true wealth (not debt), we have only “derivatives” and toxic securities, worthless bits of paper representing liabilities that will never be repaid. Now that these contracts are known to be worthless, there is only one thing left to prop up the economy; fiat printing of the U.S. dollar.
Back in 2008, I called the bailout of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac a “black hole” of debt which would siphon the last remaining vestiges of wealth from the American taxpayer, and this is exactly what has happened. Every quarter, MSM analysts claim the housing market has “bottomed” and is ready for a rebound, yet, every quarter the mortgage crisis gets just a little bit worse. It is now projected that Fannie and Freddie could end up costing taxpayers over $1 Trillion:
http://www.cnbc.com/id/37982580/Fannie_Freddie_Bailout_Could_Cost_Taxpayers_1_Trillion
This is a conservative estimate in my opinion, considering both firms comprise about $5 Trillion of the U.S. housing market, and mortgage defaults have continued unabated for nearly three years now. Until this past month, banks had accelerated their foreclosure rates by 25%:
http://www.foxnews.com/us/2010/09/16/homes-lost-foreclosure-percent/
The more homeowners declare bankruptcy, the more money U.S. citizens will have to pay to bailout banks and mortgage companies to keep them afloat, and the more the private Federal Reserve will create fiat dollars to continue this process. However, a new development has made this bad situation even more volatile.
In any major economic collapse, there is always another Jack-in-the-box. This time, it’s in the home foreclosure process itself. The Attorney General’s office in every state is now investigating banks like JP Morgan, Citigroup, Well’s Fargo, Bank Of America, etc, for flawed foreclosure documents, “automated” foreclosures, and the signing of foreclosure papers without properly ensuring their accuracy:
These four banks control over 55% of the billing and collections market in U.S. home loans, while Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac usually own a piece of every mortgage these companies are involved in. Any sign of malfeasance on the part of these corporations may indicate widespread imbalances and fraud. Such news could trigger a flight of investors away from companies tied to this relapse in mortgage uncertainty, along with renewed bank failures in the vein of Lehman Bros. In response, some states have completely frozen home foreclosures. Florida, site of the third highest foreclosure rates in the country, will continue it’s freezing of home seizures for at least another month:
http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2010-10-25/florida-foreclosures-still-on-hold-as-banks-say-they-ve-resumed-seizures.html
There are two very big problems with this situation. First, while I am all for Americans keeping their homes and making life difficult for the bankers, a foreclosure freeze creates the possibility of a heightened banking collapse, which could lead to quantitative easing programs on a scale that dwarfs previous measures. This means even more tax dollars going into the “too big to fails”. Therefore, globalist banks actually BENEFIT from a foreclosure upheaval. It could also lead to a direct bailout of the mortgage market itself. In either case, the response will be more massive printing of fiat, and a catastrophic devaluation of the dollar.
Second, foreclosures now make up over 30% of all home sales in this country. In some states, including California, foreclosures make up nearly half of all home sales:

If you think home sales are in trouble now, imagine what will happen if all foreclosure sales stopped in their tracks for several months or more! Poof! 30% to 40% of the housing market gone, just like that! I have no doubt that this would inspire considerable outflows of investment from the U.S. economy, especially by foreign nations. This is already happening in certain sectors. Central Banks across the world recently dumped a record $57 billion in U.S. Agency bonds. These bonds support such entities as Fannie and Freddie, and an expanded property market disaster would greatly damage their value:
http://jsmineset.com/2010/09/16/central-banks-dump-57-billion-of-us-agency-debt/
Interestingly, this dump began almost right before the “foreclosure-gate” issue arose, which suggests that some central banks were aware that the mortgage crisis in the U.S. would hit a new stage before it even happened.
Essentially, any announcement of an extended foreclosure freeze would set in motion a domino effect that is likely to contribute to systematic failure in our economy, and most especially, in the now precarious health of the dollar. News of a nation-wide freeze without an announcement of a time-frame should be considered by those in the Liberty Movement as a neon red warning sign that the situation is about to get ugly.
Stock Market Bubble Burst
So much fiat is being pumped into banks and the Dow by the Treasury and the Federal Reserve it is difficult to tell what is truly going on in the stock market. There are, though, certain signs we can look for to gage when a stock bubble implosion could take place. One method is to track the cash holdings of mutual funds.
When mutual funds have a lot of cash on hand, it often means they ready to funnel new capital into markets when the time is right. When mutual funds are very low on cash, this might signal that the market is ready to begin an extensive sell off. Currently, mutual fund cash levels have hit an all-time record low:
http://pragcap.com/mutual-funds-are-all-in
This shows one of two things; either the stock market is inflated to its peak, and mutual funds have invested as much as they can to support it, or, mutual fund participants are beginning to pull their money out of their portfolios, in which case, the stock rally is built almost entirely on infusions from other sources (the Federal Reserve). The latter is supported by reports of an exodus of investors from mutual funds since August of this year:
Both problems reveal a severe weakness in stocks, one that could instigate an eventual Dow drop on par with the consecutive market dives of the Great Depression.
Another signal of a stock collapse is the “net short positions” of Commercial (corporate) traders in the market. When commercials short stocks heavily, it means they are betting on a substantial fall in market value. Being that many of these larger banks and hedge funds have an “inside track” on market information, they are usually correct in their predictions. Current net short positions of commercial traders have hit levels higher than any in the past 5 years:
http://pragcap.com/is-the-smart-money-getting-short
In my view, the next extended market drop we see is liable to be the last. Today’s economy is so unstable, and based on so much faith rather that fundamentals, any uncertainty in the Dow will pull the rug out from under us. A sudden 20% to 30% loss in stock values would be more than enough to create a trigger point in the destabilization of the rest of our financial system and should be taken very seriously by those in the Liberty Movement. This could happen over a period of months, or in a series of flash crashes lasting a matter of days.
Escalation Of Currency Conflict
Recently, Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner announced that the U.S. had no intention of devaluing the dollar for export advantage over the rest of the world, and that the G20 should work on “aligning” their Forex positions to avoid wars over currency devaluation. This is fascinating, mainly because this statement is completely counter to what Geithner has been saying for the past couple years. Did ‘Tiny Tim’ grow a heart, or a brain, and realize the currency war rhetoric is a disaster waiting to happen for the United States? I really doubt it.
Such talk is typical in the midst of G20 conferences, but rarely if ever does this translate into any positive action by globalists. Currency devaluations, including that of the dollar, are well underway, and lip service paid by Geithner is not going to change anything. I’m sure he’s well aware of this.
The manner in which the currency war plays out hinges on a few key events. First, legislation put forward in Congress to institute trade duties on China is awaiting approval before the end of this year. The passage of this legislation WILL bring on the full force of a currency fight, and probably the dumping of U.S. T-bonds by China. Second, the Treasury Department trade report on China, which is expected to label the country as a currency manipulator, has been delayed even though it is required by law to be posted every 15th of October. The delay will probably last until after the November elections:
http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/business/7249676.html
If this report is released with the intention of accusing China of manipulation, expect escalation.
Finally, a further loss in the value of the dollar index, perhaps below the 74 point resistance level, could also result in an increased dumping of U.S. T-bonds by foreign central banks. Those looking for preemptive warning of collapse should keep a close eye on the dollar index as well as foreign liquidations of T-bond reserves.
Escalation Of Resource Conflict
Most people are aware of the import and export implications of a global trade war. Tariffs and duties are put in place, prices on foreign goods skyrocket, international investment tanks, and everyone becomes generally miffed with everyone else. It’s a perfect recipe for a full scale financial meltdown. However, one factor that is particularly detrimental to the U.S. is the use of vital resources by other nations as leverage to initiate a breakdown in the foundations of our domestic trade.
The U.S. imports everything and produces almost nothing. Trade duties on China would cause swelling prices on nearly all products, being that most items we buy are made in China, but this is nothing compared to the resource and commodity valuations that will follow, along with the scarcity of materials withheld by governments out of spite.
Oil, for instance, will obviously be the first resource used as a trade weapon. For now, crude oil is holding at around $80 a barrel, but this will not last much longer. The dollar’s world reserve currency status is intact for the moment, and oil is traded across the planet almost exclusively in dollars. A dollar devaluation, even in the face of commodity market manipulation, would eventually lead to an oil spike. A trade war would exacerbate this scenario by reducing the steady flow of oil into the U.S. OPEC members are now calling for oil to rise to $100 a barrel to counter weakness in the dollar. This would bring us back to $3 to $3.50 a gallon gas, if crude values and supplies remain at that level:
I suspect with added currency instability, $150 a barrel oil is conceivable within the next 6 months. Two years ago, high gas prices frustrated Americans, but were still bearable. Today, after two years of static 20% real unemployment and trillions in lost savings, $150 oil would crush what’s left of this economy.
Another good example of resource control would be China’s domination of “rare earth”, a metals material necessary for the manufacture of most electronics and some military defense products. China regulates about 97% of the rare earth market, and is beginning to hoard the needed ore (while claiming they will not) in response to economic collapse and trade decoupling:
China’s exports of rare earth fell by 72% in July. The price of rare earth metals has increased seven-fold in the past six months. Considering the fact that one of the few industries left in the U.S., computer chips, relies entirely on this resource, its use as a trade weapon is evident.
While mushrooming commodity prices are a good sign of inflation in the dollar, in some cases they can also reflect the first stages of trade combat. Tracking them can give you precious insight into more insidious hazards just over the horizon.
Quantitative Easing To The Max
How many bailouts does it take to get to the center of a hyperinflationary collapse? Three? Or maybe just one continuous undefined fiat injection…
Federal Reserve officials meeting on November 2-3 will decide yet again how much money they will create out of thin air to prop up the economy. Some estimate that the Fed will pour around $300 billion into the system, while others are predicting around $2 trillion. I should mention, though, that whatever sum the Fed openly announces it will be irrelevant to those who understand how the central bank operates. The bailouts begun in 2008 never really stopped, and it’s impossible to say how much currency exactly the Fed has Xeroxed into circulation without taking a look at their books, which they won’t let anyone do.
The announcement will matter psychologically to those investors who don’t understand the shadowy nature of the Fed, and blindly believe whatever they are told.
A statement by Ben Bernanke of $300 billion or less in quantitative easing will probably have a calming effect on the fall of the dollar, at least for a short time, and a minor drop in the value of gold. An announcement of $1 trillion or more in easing will cause greater dollar instability, and a spike in gold. What mainstream investors will not comprehend is that ANY stimulus announcement is a very bad sign for the coming year. The Fed has been tossing dollars into the financial system at will without oversight and without public approval. Why would they now decide to make their program public? I believe the easing is meant to preempt a trigger point event in the markets yet to take place, as well as set the stage for further global currency tensions. The money creation that starts in early November will be an extension of that which has been going on unabated since 2008, but it will also herald a new phase, one which brings a frightening velocity to matters.
Austerity In A Land Of Excess
A society which has lived for a long time in a state of economic uncertainty and then faced with austerity measures is going to have to hurdle some serious obstacles to survive. On the other hand, a society that has grown used to a luxurious standard of living by comparison, and then forced into austerity, is liable to freak out padded-room style and make an unprecedented mess of things.
I honestly cannot imagine the full extent of an American reaction to austerity. Cuts in social security, medical care, unemployment welfare, food stamps, education, police, military spending, government jobs, etc, would at the very least result in rioting, not to mention leave a lot of starving, homeless people in its wake. This is, of course, what happens when you encourage dependency on government and a lack of self sufficiency in a culture. The life of the nanny state is often assumed eternal, even when its debts and currency are blatantly unsustainable.
According to Citigroup’s chief economist, “savage austerity” is already in the making for the U.S.:
A proclamation of austerity measures would be a high profile trigger point, sending shockwaves throughout our economy. Austerity would likely be preceded by defaults in municipal debts in cities across the country, as well as confiscation of employee pension funds. The government may try to use greater fiat injections to avoid having to cut certain services to the public, but some austerity will take place, seeds that will grow over time as the dollar loses its reserve status and its perceived value. Any sign of austerity in the U.S. is a sign of total collapse, period.
Black Swans Come Home To Roost
A “Black Swan” is an event which defies predictability and affects the very nature of a system in unexpected ways. A terrorist attack (or false flag), which causes investor sentiment to falter and stocks to disintegrate, would be an example of a Black Swan. Surprise cataclysms are in most cases only possible when there are already acute imbalances in a system (which have been ignored by the public) present to act as tinder for the fire. Like a twisted game of Jenga, global banks have pulled numerous supports from our financial structure, causing it to teeter on the brink of oblivion. It is indeed extremely vulnerable to unanticipated incidents.
There is absolutely no guarantee that life tomorrow will be anything like life today. Expectations of continuity and safety are a crutch for those who lack the ability to adapt to changing circumstances. Accepting the reality of possible upheaval is the first step in preparing one’s self to weather unfortunate circumstances, or even to prevent them. By recognizing trigger points in our economy, we can remove the shock factor, and thus the teeth of the dilemma. By familiarizing ourselves with the potential for danger, we steel ourselves to its ferocity. Even the shadow of a Black Swan is nothing to those who are intuitive, informed, savvy, and capable. The goal for those of us in the Liberty Movement is to encourage these qualities in our friends, family, and neighbors, until their ability to foretell financial and social jeopardy is carefully honed.
One thing is certain; we cannot go on simply waiting for misfortune to strike like lightening. We cannot play at life, pretending all is well until the final curtain falls, and acknowledging the need for vigilance could go a long way in seeing that it never does….

Martial Law, Economic Meltdown, and Executive Orders
We have all watched in predicted horror as the financial infrastructure of America has been disassembled in a predetermined fashion by the likes of Goldman Sachs, the Federal Reserve and other Globalists. There are a variety of reasons why this is happening, none of which we have the power to change or alter in time to save us. Therefore, I will focus on what is to come and how we might handle it in order to survive it.
With the Federal Reserve actually suggesting that inflation might be the cure to the weak economy, massive unemployment numbers and a crashing dollar, one has to stop and ponder. The chairman of the Fed, Ben Bernanke, was a child prodigy, scored a near perfect SAT score, focused his studies around the Great Depression and is a statistical genius. So why is he so willing to abuse the Dollar and essentially sign the death warrant for America?
For several years, many prominent people have been predicting this exact scenario. Gerald Celente, Ron Paul, Peter Schiff and others including the Web Bots Project, have detailed how this orchestrated financial implosion will occur. Many of these “predictions” or trends analysis are from late 2009 or early 2010. Most, if not all, are eerily starting to come true.

ORCHESTRATED MELTDOWN & THE TEA PARTY
The current “Tea Party” is a prime example of this divide & conquer attempt. It should be noted, the Republican tea parties and the original Campaign for Liberty are nothing alike. In 2007 and 2008, Ron Paul followers began a massive grassroots movement which spread like a wildfire across angry voters on both sides of the aisle. Liberals and Conservatives stood next to each other while greeting Moderates and Extremists. Many apathetic, disillusioned voters were so moved by the passionate speeches of Ron Paul that they began to become heavily involved in politics. An attempt to Audit the Fed was a centerpiece, knowing that the Federal Reserve is one of the “men behind the green curtain.” An unprecedented partnership was formed across the spectrum and the movement grew loud, demanding accountability, transparency, more freedom and an end to the current wars.
Fearing the worst, agents of the globalist banking cartel went into action. As Rahm Emanuel, the White House spokesman, said: “You can’t let a good crisis go to waste….a crisis allows you to do things you wouldn’t otherwise be able to do.” (Such as the Patriot Act and occupying multiple countries?) They moved their diversion tactics into high gear, with commentators on MSNBC and FOX appealing for patriotic “tea parties” across the country to unite against the banking bailout and stimulus package offered by Obama. They did this knowing that no amount of ranting and raving by citizens would change anything and they could be left in peace to continue the takeover while the peasants waved signs and yelled at Congress.
In order for this takeover to succeed, they had to first destabilize any real resistance. They immediately began shifting Ron Paul into the fringe category, denied him access to the primary debates and waged classic Gestapo-like warfare on the citizens who were starting to wake up. The Southern Poverty Law Center, who now partially operates under the auspice of the Department of Homeland Security, began to demonize so-called Patriots and Constitutionalists. They needed to make sure that the wave of Ron Paul supporters – the ones who were awake and aware of who the enemy truly was – could be silenced or ignored. They began to label Constitutionalists and Libertarians as “extremists” and categorized them as violent militia members. This attempt went so far as to have the Missouri Intelligence Center issue a report clearly stating that vehicles displaying a Ron Paul sticker or supporters of Bob Barr, Barry Goldwater and others should be approached with caution during traffic stops, propping up the fear mongering in the law enforcement world where it could be put to good use by obediant police officers.
They knew these patriots, along with many 2nd amendment activists, disgruntled military veterans and Libertarians would be the first to resist. And so they had to run a few headlines on the mainstream media in order to encourage moderates not to listen to them or join their ranks.
Groups such as “FreedomWorks” and the Tea Party Express began popping up all over the radar. These were self-described groups of Tea Partiers but failed to have any ties to Ron Paul or the initial liberty movement. In fact, many of those attending the rallies were George Bush loyalists, classic war-mongering Neocons and Corporate Republicans railing against the man. It quickly became apparent that these groups were funded and started by shady, wealthy individuals with a political agenda who sought to capitalize on the growing movement with no respect to its origins.
The groups began propping up the likes of Sarah Palin as their mascot and focused on minor, trivial issues at rallies across the country. They offered stereotypical sound bytes for mass media consumption and stagnate the political process with rhetoric about the welfare state, immigration and Obama. The real enemies are now left to their own devices on Wall Street as the peasants fight among themselves over religion, gay marriage, and what Arab country should be invaded next.
This has been my own experience at a recent gun show and several tea party rallies. Everyone I talked to said the same things, “That socialist Obama is wrecking the economy and the illegal immigrants are going to bankrupt us! We need to throw the Democrats out of Congress and take over so we can make real change!” This was literally the same thing that over a dozen “patriots” said to me, completely oblivious to the fact that while illegal immigration is a major problem and does cost a lot of money, it is a penny in the bucket compared to what Wall Street and the multi-national corporations are doing to us. They fail to realize that the banking cartel owns both the Republicans and Democrats. The globalists own the media, the newspapers, the “fair and balanced” talk shows and more. Glenn Beck said it best, “I could give a flying crap about the political process.” Making money, on the other hand, is to be taken very seriously, and controversy is its own coinage. “We’re an entertainment company,” Beck says.
Carroll Quigley, the unofficial historian for the Globalists and Elites, said in his book Tragedy and Hope: “The two parties should be almost identical, so that the American people can ‘throw the rascals out’ at any election without leading to any profound or extensive shifts in policy.” It should be no surprise to anyone, of course, that during his tenure as a professor at Georgetown in the 1960s, Quigley became the mentor to a young Bill Clinton.
So as more and more voters flock to these false tea party affiliate groups, their “voter angst” is quickly satiated by the waving of a Gadsden flag and yelling some coin-phrase about Socialism, all the while no real harm has come to the establishment and Wall Street. The Globalists are free to sit back and laugh at the serfs as they complete their exit strategy, pilfering every last cent they can muster.
To use an analogy: we’re all on the Titanic with the White House at the helm of the ship. The Globalists and banking cartel know there is an iceberg ahead – in fact, they placed it directly in our path in order to speed up the sinking process while they continued to sell worthless tickets to the life rafts. Obama, like so many Presidents before him, was promised a VIP seat in the executive’s life boat. But being used by the elites doesn’t seem to bother him in the slightest. No, in fact, he happily sold his soul in order to be the first black President and make history. I suppose we all have our price. (There is also a long, sordid past involving his mother working for multiple CIA front organizations [micro-financing, accounting, loans, etc] and meeting his biological father in a Russian speaking class at the University of Hawaii . . . but that’s for another time and another article.)
MARTIAL LAW & EXECUTIVE ORDERS
As the bond markets quickly sour and the market tries desperately to maintain its hold, many foreign countries are already making their exit plans from the dollar; when this happens en masse, you will hear the American Economy and our way of life take its final breath. It will very quickly lead us to a complete and utter shattering of the US Dollar.
Inflation, offered by the Federal Reserve as a solution, will rage out of control. The bond market, already suffering severely, will be the final death blow from the multiple bubbles of the past 10 years – including the housing market, the derivatives schemes, the out-of-control spending on illegal wars, and the never-ending military-industrial-intelligence community.
As the engineered crisis swings into full global financial meltdown, we enter the classic Hegelian Dialectic method of Problem-Reaction-Solution.
Allow me to explain: The Globalists and elites have an agenda. They already know how they want this to end, as with any engineered crisis. Recall what Rahm Emaneul said about exploiting a crisis and it will start to unfold. The Powers That Be create or exploit a problem, blaming it on others. The citizens react, asking government to fix their problems, even if it means giving up certain rights or liberties. The government offers the solution that was planned long before the crisis.
And that solution is total control and domination. An increased military-police-state. A cashless, unarmed society full of GMO food and mercury-laden vaccines. Half a billion citizens dependant on the government for the next day’s meal. We are entering 1984. But first, the birthing pains of the new era –the New World Order.
In order to achieve this, a rock-bottom effect has to unravel, and the crashing of the US Dollar is the perfect key. When the bond market goes, it will take municipal bonds and pensions with it. Cities will no longer be able to employ enough workers to maintain itself. Inflation will make food, gasoline, and other tangibles too expensive for the common peasant and riots will start. In order to maintain their control and show force, the government will begin deploying the military into the hardest-hit cities in a support role, handling more and more of the infrastructure and traditional police duties. The ability to do this has been laid out in carefully crafted Presidential Executive Orders. Troops returning from Iraq and Afghanistan are now being trained in domestic law enforcement and how to handle civil unrest, including active combat brigades on “homeland patrol.” Imagine this scenario unfolding while the White House has the following powers:
EXECUTIVE ORDER 10990 – allows the government to take over all modes of transportation and control of highways and seaports.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 10995 – allows the government to seize and control the communication media.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 10997 – allows the government to take over all electrical power, gas, petroleum, fuels and minerals.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 10998 – allows the government to seize all means of transportation, including personal cars, trucks or vehicles of any kind and total control over all highways, seaports, and waterways.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 10999 – allows the government to take over all food resources and farms.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 11000 – allows the government to mobilize civilians into work brigades under government supervision.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 11001 – allows the government to take over all health, education and welfare functions.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 11002 – designates the Postmaster General to operate a national registration of all persons.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 11003 – allows the government to take over all airports and aircraft, including commercial aircraft.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 11004 – allows the Housing and Finance Authority to relocate communities, build new housing with public funds, designate areas to be abandoned, and establish new locations for populations.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 11005 – allows the government to take over railroads, inland waterways and public storage facilities.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 11051 – specifies the responsibility of the Office of Emergency Planning and gives authorization to put all Executive Orders into effect in times of increased international tensions and economic or financial crisis.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 11921 allows the Federal Emergency Preparedness Agency to develop plans to establish control over the mechanisms of production and distribution, of energy sources, wages, salaries, credit and the flow of money in U.S. financial institution in any undefined national emergency. It also provides that when a state of emergency is declared by the President, Congress cannot review the action for six months. The Federal Emergency Management Agency has broad powers in every aspect of the nation. General Frank Salzedo, chief of FEMA’s Civil Security Division stated in a 1983 conference that he saw FEMA’s role as a “new frontier in the protection of individual and governmental leaders from assassination, and of civil and military installations from sabotage and/or attack, as well as prevention of dissident groups from gaining access to U.S. opinion, or a global audience in times of crisis.” FEMA’s powers were consolidated by President Carter to incorporate the…
EXECUTIVE ORDER 11310 – grants authority to the Department of Justice to enforce the plans set out in Executive Orders, to institute industrial support, to establish judicial and legislative liaison, to control all aliens, to operate penal and correctional institutions, and to advise and assist the President.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 11049 – assigns emergency preparedness function to federal departments and agencies, consolidating 21 operative Executive Orders issued over a fifteen year period.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 12148 – created the Federal Emergency Management Agency to interface with the Department of Defense for civil defense planning and funding. An “emergency czar” was appointed. FEMA has only spent about 6 percent of its budget on national emergencies. The bulk of their funding has been used for the construction of secret underground facilities to assure continuity of government in case of a major emergency, foreign or domestic.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 12656 – appointed the National Security Council as the principal body that should consider emergency powers. This allows the government to increase domestic intelligence and surveillance of U.S. citizens and would restrict the freedom of movement within the United States and grant the government the right to isolate large groups of civilians. The National Guard could be federalized to seal all borders and take control of U.S. air space and all ports of entry.
EXECUTIVE ORDER 12919 – Collects EOs 10995, 10997, 10998, 10999, 11000, 11001, 11002, 11003, 11004, 11005 and 11051 together into one new Executive Order.
1950 Defense Production Act – gives the President sweeping powers over all aspects of the economy.
Act of August 29, 1916 – authorizes the Secretary of the Army, in time of war, to take possession of any transportation system for transporting troops, material, or any other purpose related to the emergency.
International Emergency Economic Powers Act – enables the President to seize the property of a foreign country or national. These powers were transferred to FEMA in a sweeping consolidation in 1979.
We are already living on borrowed time as a Nation. I suggest you take the advice of those people who predicted this exact scenario a decade ago and begin investing in tangibles and hard commodities. Land, firearms, precious metals, tools, and food.
Think about the one thing that you must have and will always spend money on – food. If you could buy 6 months of food now, imagine the return on your investment when inflation hits the grocery stores by the end of this year. We’re already seeing it everywhere around us. Take note and act accordingly!
We are entering a very dangerous time frame in not only our lives, but history.

Faking News: CIA Assets in the Newsroom
By Grant Lawrence
You may think that US journalists are working for who they say they are working for. But then you never know.
Unfortunately many have been revealed to have been working for the CIA during the Cold War. Even more important, the CIA and other US intelligence agencies were able to control the news by having assets in positions of power in US newsrooms, such as newspaper editors and high level managers.
It is clear news is often edited so as not to upset the advertisers. The management of news is done in such a way that it almost always promotes the Military Industrial Complex. Corporate interests and the interests of the National Security State are nearly always the same because they are part of the same Complex. You might recognize this as fascism.
Did you ever wonder how nearly all of the major newspapers and TV and Radio news outlets throughout the country supported the war on Iraq?
The propagandists who facilitated the war should be asked who they work for. "Are you now, or have you ever been, a member of the Central Intelligence Agency?"
"On television the voices of dissent can’t be counted upon to match the studio drapes or serve as tasteful lead-ins to the advertisements for Pantene Pro-V and the U.S. Marine Corps. What we now know as the “news media” serve at the pleasure of the corporate sponsor, their purpose not to tell truth to the powerful but to transmit lies to the powerless."

There is a history to this goosestepping mentality that is promoted as news here in the US.
.
...American journalists have long been bitterly opposed to the recruitment of reporters by U.S. intelligence agencies, and the fraudulent use of journalism credentials by intelligence operatives. Since the mid-1970s, journalists and others-including some of the nation's top foreign policy-makers-believed that the CIA could no longer recruit reporters as spies. They shared a widespread but inaccurate assumption that the U.S. government had banned such objectionable practices as part of a package of reforms revamping codes of conduct for covert intelligence operations adopted in response to recommendations of the 1976 Church Committee report. In its investigation of U.S. foreign and military intelligence operations, the committee-the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, chaired by Senator Frank Church (D-Idaho)-found that more than 50 American journalists had worked clandestinely as CIA agents during the Cold War era. The committee's final report strongly condemned this practice and unequivocally called on the intelligence community to "permit American journalists and news organizations to pursue their work without jeopardizing their credibility in the eyes of the world through covert use of them."
...IN FEBRUARY 1996, an independent task force of the Council on Foreign Relations led by Richard Haass, a former senior director for Near East and South Asian Affairs of the National Security Council in the Bush administration, proposed taking a "fresh look…at limits on the use of non-official 'covers' for hiding and protecting those involved in clandestine activities." Haass later publicly expanded on this point, challenging what he characterized as the prohibition on the use of journalists as undercover intelligence agents. The outcry among journalists-including many who are members of the Council of Foreign Relations-led council president Leslie Gelb to distance himself and the council from the task force and its recommendations....
....The reaction to the controversy among U.S. intelligence professionals, however, was quite different-and far more disturbing to journalists. John Deutch, director of Central Intelligence, appeared before Congress and said there was no need to change U.S. policy as Haass had advocated, since the CIA already had the power to use U.S. reporters as spies. Under the terms of the guidelines adopted after the Church Commission report, the CIA director retained the right to approve such recruitment if he judged it necessary, Deutch explained. Deutch received public support for his interpretation of the CIA's prerogative from Stansfield Turner, the CIA chief in the Carter administration. Speaking to a gathering of the American Society of Newspaper Editors, Turner revealed that he had authorized the use of journalists in intelligence operations three times during his tenure as CIA director....(kate houghton--source: cpj.org)

But the faking of US news goes beyond having CIA assets in the newsrooms. The truth is the US news is managed by a power structure that has absolutely no regard for objectivity or truth.
Below is an example of how the Military Industrial Complex creates TV reality. It shows how the news is manipulated by powers that go well beyond those in the newsroom.
In the video below, you will see a CNN reporter pretending to be reporting from the Gulf during the Gulf War with Iraq. He is actually in a studio playing a let's pretend game of fear and worry as nonexistent scud missiles with possible chemical weapons fly over head.
You might also recall the "Weapons of Mass Deception" that was also presented as reality to create an Iraq war fever here in the US. It was all a game of mass mind manipulation presented as reality by those creating fake news.
